Bob trained
as a figure artist and illustrator, working on many publications
(Dandy, Beano, Hotspur, etc), also as a illustrator for Enid Blyton.
Sadly,
shortly after joining the Maritime Art Group, he contracted Guilliam
Barré Syndrome, which left him temporarily totally paralysed.
Thanks to a wonderful NHS and sheer bloody mindedness on his part,
he resumed painting, albeit in a more impressionist style.
His
involvement with the Maritime Art Group spurs him on to greater
improvement, creating seas, skies, ships and all things nautical.
